A Message to Our School Community
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of one of our students. While we are unable to provide specific details out of respect for the family’s privacy, please know that this loss is deeply felt by our entire school family.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the student’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We have been in contact with the family to offer our support and will continue to respect their wishes in the days ahead.
As a school, we are here for our students, staff, and families. Counselors and support staff are available on campus for anyone who may need someone to talk to or lean on. We encourage you to speak openly with your children and let them know that grief is a natural response to loss—and that no one has to go through it alone.
In the coming days, we will find ways to honor and remember the student in a manner that is respectful and supportive of the family’s wishes.
Please join us in holding space in your heart for healing, comfort, and care—for one another, and for the family navigating this unimaginable loss.
With compassion and care,
Oakwood High School
