Attention Parents,
This afternoon Oakwood ISD went into lockdown after the school received information about a possible weapon on campus. After investigating the situation and locking down the school, a BB gun was found on campus and the responsible student detained. The Oakwood Police Department was on hand to help conduct the search and clear the buildings. Oakwood ISD will always take measures to ensure that students are safe and that any information received is thoroughly investigated.
OISD Students and Parents: This week begins the big round of Spring STAAR testing. This week is Alg. 1, Biology, and US History EOC's, as well as 8th Grade Science and Social Studies. Next week is 3-8 Math & Reading as well as 5th Science.
