SCHOOL COUNSELOR CREDENTIALS & INFORMATION
Most of you know me already, but for those who do not, my name is Lori Olive, and I am the district counselor for Oakwood ISD. I am a graduate of Oakwood HS, Baylor University (BBA Business-Journalism), and the University of Texas at Tyler (Teacher Certification & M.A. in School Counseling). I take my role as a school counselor very seriously. It is my passion to help all students to succeed in school, in their chosen career paths, and in life. I not only want to see them reach their academic goals, but also to develop strong social skills and develop good character. I consider it a great privilege to work with the students at Oakwood ISD. It is my goal for every student at OISD to know that they matter. Although working at both campuses has it challenges, I will always do my best to accommodate each student to help them work through problems and come up with solutions to any issues they may face at school and/or home.
