The Oakwood Independent School District (OISD) Business and Financial Service Department has been prepared to provide general information, guidelines, and reporting for all budgeting and district funds. State and Federal laws, Board policies, and local administrative procedures guide us. The District operates under a site-based management system, allowing campuses and departments to develop their annual budget based on their needs assessments and campus/district improvement plans.

Oakwood ISD has increased its efforts to provide transparent financial information for all stakeholders of the District. We are focused on presenting financial reports and relevant information in an easily understandable format that promotes transparency and accountability. Our goal is to provide our citizens and interested parties with the information required to understand better how their tax dollars are spent supporting student achievement.

The Business Office is responsible for the district's daily business operations, which include HR, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Budget, Benefits/Risk Management, Investments and Cash Management, and Purchasing.
